On August 20, the Welcome Ceremony for the Former Prime Minister of Belgium and Former President of the European Council · Celebrating the Successful Convening of the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development and the World Leaders Sustainable Development Summit, hosted by the Global Sustainable Development Alliance Foundation and Daguo Culture Co., Ltd., was grandly held in Shenzhen. Building on the outcomes of UN global summits, this grand event brought together top European political figures, senior UN officials, outstanding Chinese entrepreneurs, and distinguished women representatives to discuss China–Europe economic and trade cooperation, green and sustainable development, brand globalization, and international people-to-people friendly exchanges, creating a high-end dialogue platform for advancing global sustainable development and deepening China–Europe cooperation across multiple fields.

The ceremony invited H.E. Mr. Yves Leterme, former Prime Minister of Belgium and former President of the European Council; Ms. Mehri Madarshahi, Senior Economic Adviser to the United Nations; and Mr. Hans d’Orville, former UNESCO Assistant Director-General, among other high-profile international VIPs. Mr. Zhang Qihua, Chairman of Daguo Culture Co., Ltd. and Chairman of the Global Sustainable Development Foundation, served as moderator and opened the event.

After the speech, the ceremony moved to an important honorary segment. To recognize H.E. Ms. Mehri Madarshahi, Adviser to the UNESCO International Center for Creativity and Sustainable Development and former senior UN economic official, shared her views on global governance, cultural connectivity, and sustainable international cooperation, bringing profound inspiration to the guests.

Mr. Hans d’Orville, former UNESCO Assistant Director-General and Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the International Center for Creativity and Sustainable Development, shared his understanding of global cultural and creative industry development, sustainable education, and international cultural co-construction, fully affirming the value of Chinese–foreign cultural exchange in advancing the global sustainable development cause.
