2026 World Leaders Sustainable Development Summit and China–Thailand Friendship Mid-Autumn Civilization Dialogue and International Forum on Intangible Cultural Heritage Going Global — Closed-Door Lead
On September 27, 2026, the 2026 World Leaders Sustainable Development Summit & China–Thailand Friendship Mid-Autumn Civilization Dialogue and Intangible Cultural Heritage Going Global International Forum Closed-Door Leaders’ Meeting was successfully held at the Global Sustainable Development Reception Hall.
The event was hosted by the Global Sustainable Development Alliance Foundation and Daguo Culture Co., Ltd., bringing together former political leaders from various countries, international leaders, entrepreneurial elites, and other distinguished guests. With China–Thailand friendship as the bond, the meeting conducted high-level closed-door dialogue around four core topics—intangible cultural heritage going global, mutual learning among international civilizations, cross-border industrial cooperation, and global sustainable development—with the aim of advancing practical cooperation and implementation.

The meeting took place at a key juncture when China’s 15th Five-Year Plan is being comprehensively launched and advanced. It strictly implemented the requirements of the national outline to “expand high-standard opening up, promote Chinese culture going global, deepen mutual learning among civilizations, and empower green, sustainable, and high-quality development.” Relying on the Global Sustainable Development Reception Hall—an international exchange platform positioned at a high level and focused on practical results—the meeting connected high-quality global resources, matched China–Thailand cooperation needs, and explored new pathways for integrating civilizational exchange with industrial development.

The event was moderated by Zhang Qihua, Chairman of the Global Sustainable Development Alliance Foundation. In his opening remarks, Zhang Qihua stated that China and Thailand are connected by a shared cultural heritage and bonded by close people-to-people ties, and that the two countries enjoy the traditional friendship of “China and Thailand as one family.” Holding this closed-door dialogue shortly after the Mid-Autumn Festival was intended both to build consensus on international cooperation through civilizational dialogue and to promote mutual benefit and win-win outcomes between China and Thailand through industrial connectivity. He expressed the expectation that the dialogue would produce practical results and inject new momentum into China–Thailand cooperation across multiple fields.

The event specially invited Mom Luang Prince Supab Bhamo and Princess Isanaphan Bhamo of the Thai royal nobility as distinguished guests. His Serene Highness Prince Supab Bhamo delivered a keynote leadership address. Focusing on the ASEAN regional development landscape and the long-standing tradition of friendly China–Thailand cooperation, he shared views on cultural connectivity, joint economic and trade development, and sustainable industrial cooperation, charting the direction for cooperation at this closed-door leaders’ meeting and setting the high-level tone for the dialogue.

After the keynote speeches, the event moved into a closed-door leaders’ roundtable for in-depth exchange. As leaders in their respective industries and seasoned practitioners of international cooperation, the participating guests combined their own fields of practice and conducted candid exchanges on specific topics such as pathways for intangible cultural heritage going global, China–Thailand cooperation in cultural and creative industries, cross-border development of the big health industry, investment in green and sustainable projects, and two-way economic and trade investment between China and Thailand. They deepened alignment on cooperation needs, built consensus on multiple cooperation items, and laid a solid foundation for the implementation of follow-up projects.

At the close of the event, Chairman Zhang Qihua summarized the closed-door dialogue. He stated that, relying on the direction of the national opening-up strategy, the deep traditional friendship between China and Thailand, and the high-end platform advantages of the Global Sustainable Development Reception Hall, the meeting had completed a high-standard, high-value, and implementable closed-door discussion. It achieved the height of mutual learning among international civilizations, highlighted the practical depth of industrial cooperation, and further carried forward the warmth of China–Thailand friendship and win-win cooperation. In the next step, based on the consensus formed at this dialogue, efforts will be made to promote the gradual implementation of matched projects and to continuously deepen multi-field cooperation between China and Thailand and globally.

It is understood that the Global Sustainable Development Reception Hall has long served as a high-end closed-door dialogue platform for former political leaders, ambassadors stationed abroad, and international leaders, and has consistently focused on high-level, small-scale, and results-oriented international exchanges. This event is an important practice by the platform in responding to the national strategy of Chinese culture going global and opening up, and in promoting mutual learning among civilizations and industrial integration. Going forward, the platform will continue to hold similar high-end dialogue events and contribute to promoting Chinese culture going global and empowering global sustainable and high-quality development.
